📋 1. Introduction & Acceptance of Terms

Welcome to CNBA OnlineBooks. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User," "Customer," "you") and CNBA OnlineBooks ("Company," "we," "our," "us"), a book retail company registered and operating from Shop 7, Coastal Business Arcade, Besant Nagar Main Road, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600090, India.

By accessing our website (cnbaonlinebooks.in), creating an account, placing an order, or using any of our services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated herein by reference.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Significant changes will be communicated via email or prominent notice on our website. Your continued use after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

To access certain features of our platform, including placing orders, tracking deliveries, and managing returns, you will need to create an account. When creating an account, you agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to:

• Create a strong, unique password for your account
• Never share your login credentials with any third party

• Ensure you log out of your account when using shared devices

3.3 Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion if we believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or for any other reason we deem necessary to protect our platform and other users. You may also request account deletion by contacting us at any time.

🛒 4. Orders & Payments

4.1 Order Placement

When you place an order on our platform, you are making an offer to purchase the selected products at the listed price, subject to availability and acceptance by us. Order confirmation emails do not constitute acceptance of your order — acceptance occurs when we dispatch the items.

4.2 Pricing & Availability

All prices on our website are listed in Indian Rupees (INR) and are inclusive of applicable GST unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to modify prices at any time. In the event of a pricing error, we will notify you before processing your order and you may choose to accept the corrected price or cancel your order.

Product availability is subject to stock levels. If an item becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will notify you and provide a full refund for that item.

4.3 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

• UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, etc.)
• Credit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, RuPay)
• Debit Cards (all major Indian bank debit cards)
• Net Banking (all major Indian banks)
• Cash on Delivery (COD) — available on orders below ₹5,000 in select pincodes
• EMI options on qualifying orders

All online payments are processed through our certified, PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway partners. We do not store your full card details on our servers.

4.4 Order Cancellation

You may cancel your order within 2 hours of placing it, provided it has not yet been dispatched. To cancel, please contact our support team immediately at +91 96178 70273 or info@cnbaonlinebooks.in. Once dispatched, cancellation is not possible and the return process must be initiated instead.

📦 5. Delivery & Shipping

5.1 Delivery Timeframes

• Metro Cities (Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Kolkata): 1–3 business days
• Other Cities & Towns: 3–5 business days
• Remote Areas & Rural Pincodes: 5–10 business days

Delivery timeframes are estimates and may vary due to factors beyond our control including logistics delays, natural disasters, public holidays, or high-demand periods.

5.2 Free Delivery

We offer free standard delivery on all orders above ₹499. Orders below ₹499 are subject to a shipping fee of ₹49, which will be displayed at checkout.

5.3 Delivery Responsibility

It is your responsibility to provide an accurate and complete delivery address. We are not responsible for failed deliveries resulting from incorrect or incomplete address information. If an order is returned to us due to an incorrect address, you will be charged re-shipping fees for re-delivery.

5.4 Risk of Loss

Risk of loss and title for products purchased pass to you upon delivery of the products to the delivery address provided. If you opt for COD, risk passes upon payment and receipt of goods.

6.1 Return Policy

We offer a 7-day return window from the date of delivery for eligible products. To be eligible for a return, the book must be:

• In its original, unused, and undamaged condition
• In its original packaging with all accessories, if any
• Accompanied by the original invoice or proof of purchase
• Not marked, highlighted, annotated, or otherwise used

6.2 Non-Returnable Items

• Digital products, e-books, or downloadable content once accessed
• Books with broken seals on sealed editions
• Books damaged by the customer after delivery
• Customised or personalised orders
• Books purchased during special "Final Sale" promotions (clearly marked at purchase)

6.3 Refund Process

Once we receive and inspect the returned item, we will process your refund within 5–7 business days. Refunds will be credited to your original payment method. COD orders will receive refunds via bank transfer or UPI to the details you provide.

6.4 Damaged or Wrong Items

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect book, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the issue. We will arrange a free return and either replace the item or issue a full refund, at our discretion.

All content on our website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, button icons, data compilations, and software, is the property of CNBA OnlineBooks or its content suppliers and is protected by Indian and international copyright and intellectual property laws.

You may not reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, or exploit any portion of our website content without our express written permission. The CNBA OnlineBooks name, logo, and all related marks are trademarks of our company.

Books sold on our platform are protected by the copyrights of their respective authors and publishers. Purchase of a book grants you a personal, non-transferable right to read that book. It does not grant any right to reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works.

📢 8. Notification & Communication Consent

These communications may include, but are not limited to: order confirmations and tracking updates, promotional offers and seasonal discounts, new book launches and reading recommendations, loyalty program updates, account security notifications, and service updates or changes to these Terms.

You have the right to opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting us at info@cnbaonlinebooks.in, replying STOP to any SMS, or unsubscribing from our email list. Transactional messages related to your orders cannot be opted out of as they are essential for service delivery.

⚖️ 9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

9.1 Disclaimer of Warranties

Our platform and services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties, express or implied. We do not warrant that our website will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

9.2 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, CNBA OnlineBooks shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of our services, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from or related to our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by you for the specific order giving rise to the claim in the 3 months preceding the event giving rise to liability.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. These links are provided for your convenience only. We have no control over the content of those sites and accept no responsibility for them or for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.

If a resolution cannot be reached through mutual discussion within 30 days, any dispute shall be referred to and finally resolved by arbitration in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, in accordance with the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (as amended). The arbitration shall be conducted in English.

You also have the right to approach the appropriate Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, if you believe your consumer rights have been violated.

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. You agree that any dispute not resolved through arbitration shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

These Terms comply with the applicable provisions of the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020, and other applicable Indian laws and regulations.
